EPL: Premier League giants, Liverpool put up for sale

Liverpool, a powerhouse in the Premier League, has been placed up for sale.

There have been several recent ownership changes and rumors of ownership changes at EPL teams, and unsurprisingly we are questioned frequently about Fenway Sports Group’s ownership in Liverpool, according to a statement from the club’s owners, FSG, that was cited by The Athletic.

“Third parties looking to become shareholders in Liverpool have repeatedly expressed interest to FSG. “

As previously stated by FSG, if it was in the best interests of Liverpool as a team, we would consider new shareholders under the proper terms and conditions.

FSG stated that they are still wholly dedicated to the club’s success, both on and off the field.

Under the leadership of the current manager, Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool has won the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup in the last five years.

The Red Devils, however, have had a difficult season; they are now ranked eighth in the Premier League table with just 19 points from 13 games, their lowest total in recent memory.

The Merseyside giants overcome Tottenham 2-1 in the Premier League on Sunday, avenging recent losses to Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.
